Where Can I Serve?

Jesus told us, his disciples, to make disciples of all nations. One of the most important values of this church is our mission to the world. It begins in our own community, and spreads overseas to every nation. Church members are involved in a variety of ministries from things as simple as preparing hot dogs in the kitchen to greeting church goers as they walk-in. You have a gift. Allow God to flourish your talent for His Glory.

Kids Ministry

At Kids At The Cross Clubhouse, we strive to GO and reach the kids of our community to SHOW them the love of Christ and what a relationship with Him means. We encourage them to GROW by learning about God’s word, the sacrifice He made so they can have eternal life, and that God has a great purpose for their lives. Clubhouse Kids are a great group of friends that are just waiting to meet YOU! So that we can GROW, GO, AND SHOW together!
Kids ages 4-12 years meet in the south building.

Youth Ministry

Y.R.O.C. (Youth Reaching Others for Christ) 7th – 12th grade

College and Career

Bible Study is for ages 18 to 40. The College and Career Bible study meets on Wednesday nights at 7:00pm. Our goal for this Bible study is to help people at all stages in their walk with Christ to grow and mature in their faith. This group consists of people right out of high school to those in their 30’s. Currently we are studying different religions and worldviews from a biblical perspective. The purpose for this is to help us to better understand what we believe and to be better prepared to explain it to others. We are currently meeting through Zoom on Wednesday nights at 7:00pm. If you would like to join us for bible study, please contact Pastor Stacey at (661)333-2986 or smcormier70@gmail.com. We’d love to have you!

Media & Technology

Using media to spread the gospel is a privilege of this church. In an age of widespread technology, we have a stewardship to use these tools as best as possible for kingdom purposes. All of our weekly sermons are uploaded to our website in video and audio formats. We also maintain an active Facebook and Instagram feed for additional church communication.

Enabled by Grace Ministries

Enables by Grace Ministries is a ministry of Southwest Christian Center whose objective is sharing the gospel with an emphasis on meeting the needs of those with physical disabilities, and their families. We confidently believe: in God’s power and promise to completely heal us physically, mentally, emotionally, and spiritually. Sometimes God chooses to heal our bodies completely here on earth and sometimes He chooses to give us our ultimate healing when we make our transition to our heavenly home.
“Being Disabled myself, I have experienced both God’s supernatural healing power in miraculous ways as well as experiencing Him daily giving me strength despite physical challenges to demonstrate to me and those around me that His grace really is sufficient, and His power really is made perfect in our weakness. My disability has also given me the opportunity to see how God has always provided for my extra needs when I was at the end of my own resources and did not know how they would be met. ” –Pastor Stacey Cormier
The vision for Enabled by Grace Ministries is to be a vessel through which God can do that for others. We are currently receiving donations to make this vision come to life for the specific needs targeted below:
  • Helping to provide necessary equipment that is not covered by insurance.
  • Helping to provide respite care for caregivers.
  • Helping to provide emotional support
  • Helping people focus on what they CAN DO rather than what they cannot do and to give them opportunities to serve in that capacity.
We also have Enabled by Grace services one Saturday a month. The dates vary; however, the time is 5:00. You can join us in person or online live.
We covet your prays for this growing ministry. If you have a desire to serve others with disabilities, please contact Pastor Stacey.

Prayer Warriors

Prayer cannot be overestimated. Prayer moves the hand of God. Our Church is a body of believers dependent upon prayer, and committed to God’s sovereignty. Southwest Christian Center believes Matthew 18:20.
“For where two or three are gathered together in my name, there am I in the midst of them.” -Matthew 18:20 (KJV)

SWCC has a 24 hour pray line available at 1(844)984-2463. If you need pray, call us! If your a prayer warrior, desiring to serve on the team. Please reach out to Pastor Walden for more information.

Go Team (Mission Ministry)

This is a mission’s centered ministry. This is an area of ministry that motivates each individual to look within themselves and ask the question “What can I do?” We embrace our founding scripture.
Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit” -Matthew 28:19 (NIV)

We do everything in his strength. Our focus is to go out into the world, either by inviting people to our campus for events or we go to the streets and reach people. The goal never changes. The mission is always the same. Kingdom work! If you want to be apart of the Go Team, contact Kathleen Fairgood.
